Envision Homes -- The Home Building Process
Building your Dream Home with Envision Homes--

A step-by-step guide to building your new home
Step One: Qualifying for a Loan
Step Two: Signing the Contract
Step Three: Choosing Style Options
Step Five: Pre-Drywall Meeting

Step Six: Final Walk-Through and Closing

With our "Preferred Lender" arrangements, we can help make qualifying for your loan easy.  Whether you use our lender or yours, you will need to bring the following documents to the meeting with your choice of banks or mortgage lenders:

- Copies of your W-2s for the past two years

- Year-to-date pay stubs for the past 30 days

- Most recent two months’ bank statements

- Residence information for the past two years, including landlord names addresses and phone numbers

- Names and addresses of your employers for the past two years

- Most recent two years’ completed tax returns, if self-employed

After your bank or mortgage representative has reviewed these documents, they will  discuss your loan options and give you a mortgage commitment letter.

At Envision Homes of Helena, we know that building a new home can be one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it can also be a time filled with some uncertainty and questions.  That is why we’ve developed a comprehensive, step-by-step process for the purchase of your home – one that keeps you involved and informed along the way.

But we don’t stop there.  By keeping current with building practices and standards, and performing regular reviews of our work, you can rest comfortably knowing that you’re getting a quality home and the attention you deserve.

At Envision Homes of Helena, we are committed to building the American Dream…one home, one buyer, one dream at a time.

After you have qualified for your mortgage, we will guide you through the process of completing your purchase agreement.  Depending on the floor plan you have selected, you’ll also receive help choosing the options that will affect the framing of your home, such as the fireplace, patios, decks and the kitchen.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the homebuilding process is your selection of options and upgrades. This is your chance to make your home reflect your style and choose the materials and finishes that will create lasting impressions, as well as enhance the value of your home.

During your appointment, we will guide you step-by-step through selecting the finishing touches you’ll need to personalize your new home’s interior, including: cabinetry, appliances, flooring (carpet, tile, stone, laminate and hardwood), countertops, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, hardware and more.  We offer the latest styles and samples, so you will be able to make your new house your new home.

When your home’s framing has been completed, you will have a pre-drywall meeting to review the progress on your home.  We will walk through your home with you to confirm that it has been constructed correctly.  We will also answer any questions you may have regarding the next steps in the construction process.

Your new home is now complete and ready to be presented to you.   At this informative meeting, you will become familiar with the details of your new home and learn valuable care and maintenance information.  You will also have the opportunity to walk through your home to make sure the items identified during your previous walk-through have been addressed.

Shortly after your final walk-through, you will have the last meeting in the buying and building process. – your closing.  Here, you will complete the paperwork that transfers home ownership to you.

Step Four: Pre-Construction Introduction

Shortly after Envision Homes has received your building permit, you will have the opportunity to meet with the staff who will be working on your new home.  At this meeting, we’ll walk you through the building process and answer any construction-related questions you may have.  We’ll also confirm the features and options you’ve selected so that these selections are in order before building begins.
